Our Mission

In 2013, Vietnamese community leaders saw a need to support and encourage second generation Vietnamese-Australians to reach their potential and become the best leaders representing two cultural identities. The Dual Identity Leadership Program (DILP) began in 2014 for young leaders who identify with two cultures.

As a DILP participant, you’ll embark on a journey of self discovery and build your leadership skills.

The DILP will also empower you to manage, reconcile, and understand your dual identity. 

Under the guidance of the Advisory Board, DILP 2022 will be headed by a talented team of Alumni who wholeheartedly believe in supporting the next cohort of leaders.

VCA Vic

The DILP is an initiative of the Vietnamese Community Australia – Victorian Chapter (VCA Vic). VCA Vic runs a number of initiatives to preserve Vietnamese heritage across generations, support young Vietnamese-Australians, and encourage our youth to give back to the community.

The VCA Vic is a not-for-profit organisation. It was established in 1987 to assist the resettlement and integration of Vietnamese refugees (known as the “boat people”) as they fled Communist Vietnam after the 1975 Vietnam War.

In Victoria, the VCA Vic represents the interests and contribution of Australians of Vietnamese background, to preserve and promote Vietnamese culture and identity, and to advocate for human rights in Vietnam and globally.

Embodied within multicultural Australia is an incredible spirit of embracing diversity and different communities.

VCA Vic plays an integral role of multicultural Australia by hosting cultural events and exhibitions, fundraising for causes and charities, and delivering services to those less fortunate.
