5 Year anniversary

The 5 Year Anniversary event in 2018 celebrated the achievements and growth of DILP over the past five years. The night featured live entertainment which included many performances from talented musicians within the DILP Alumni, speeches from cohort representatives and even some awards! This event served to recognise the efforts that dedicated individuals within our Alumni have contributed to the success of DILP.

The DILP Networking Night is an annual event that provides the Alumni with an opportunity to connect with esteemed working professionals across a wide variety of fields and industries. Networking Night provides for all - university students, recent graduates and even current working professionals! In 2019, keynote speaker Donald Betts Jr. shared his experiences navigating us through the journey he undertook in his career.

Flag raising ceremonies

2019 was the beginning of the DILP Alumni Committee stepping up as the key organisers of several Flag Raising ceremonies around Melbourne. These ceremonies bring our community together to commemorate and remember the Vietnam War and the refugee diaspora. There are many opportunities for our Alumni to contribute - such as MC's, minute of silence, musical performers and more!

Leadership forum for multicultural youth

The Leadership Forum for Multicultural Youth showcased the importance of supporting the growth of young leaders within multicultural communities. The DILP Alumni along with various other communities reflected on the community impact of youth action, and the needs to enable growth within our younger generation. It was one of the very first Alumni events where there was an opportunity for collaboration and networking between the different multicultural communities.
